Sloppy Joe Stuffed Bell Peppers


INGREDIENTS


· 3 medium multi-color bell peppers, halved lengthwise & seeded

· 3 tbsp. olive oil, divided

· 1 lb. ground beef

· 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped

· ½ yellow onion, chopped

· 1tsp. garlic, minced

· Seasoned salt (to taste)

· Black pepper (to taste)

· 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

· 2 tbsp. ketchup

· 1 tbsp. tomato paste

· 2 tbsp. brown sugar

· 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese




INSTRUCTIONS

· Pre-heat oven to 350 degreeS.

· Line peppers on baking sheet and drizzle with 1tbsp. of olive oil. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

· In a large skillet, heat remaining olive oil on medium high heat.

· Add ground beef. Brown and crumble for 3 minutes then mix in green bell pepper, onion, garlic, seasoned salt, and pepper. Cook until completely brown, 5 - 7 minutes.

· Mix in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, tomato paste, and brown sugar. Cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

· Stuff each pepper with sloppy joe mix and top with cheddar cheese. Bake for 5 – 7 minutes. Serve.
